Chouquette | New Farm

Macarons - Chocolate, Pistachio & Choc Mint

Chouquette, a little tucked away patisserie in New Farm, from various types of bread, to cake to pastries, macarons, coffee and sandwiches. It was only around 930-10am and this little shop was already packed and a line was forming (and with good reason as well!!) i didn't try the macarons but they were very sizeable and looked delicious, the millefeuille was so delicious - this is coming from someone who generally does not like custardy sort of desserts or pastries - but the 3 layers of pastry was very light and crisp with a creamy custard filling - not too sweet or heavy either!  perfect combination; although not something you want to eat on a windy day at the park.. with no fork or napkin.. !

The other baked goods looked quite delicious as well, and i'm keen to go back to try the Almond Croissant, the Eclair and the Citrus Tart, which caught my eye. The gentleman (assumingly the manager or owner - somewhere along the lines) was friendly, welcoming and efficient - a rare combination in a busy environment with people lining up outside! props to him!
